About the role
At Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, we are looking to recruit an intern for the Engineering Department , someone eager to learn, grow professionally, and be part of an international and dynamic environment.
This position represents an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the technical and administrative operations of a luxury hotel, supporting the Engineering team in the daily management of the department.
Position Details Position: Engineering Department Intern
Location: Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona
Duration: 6 months
Working hours: Full-time
Modality: On-site
Main Responsibilities The selected candidate will support the Engineering team in administrative and coordination tasks, participating in the day-to-day activities of the department.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Supporting the administrative management of the Engineering department
- Organizing, updating, and filing technical documentation
- Assisting in the planning and monitoring of maintenance tasks
- Supporting coordination with other hotel departments to facilitate daily operations
- Preparing reports, lists, and follow-up documentation
- Assisting with supplier management, orders, or related documentation when required
- Collaborating with the team to improve internal processes
Candidate Profile We are looking for an organized, responsible individual with a positive attitude who is eager to learn in a high-level professional environment.
Recommended Requirements
- Student of Business Administration or related studies, Engineering, Architecture, or Maintenance
- Internship agreement with a university, school, or training center
- Good command of office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and willingness to learn
- Good teamwork skills
- Interest in engineering/maintenance/organization/administration within the hotel sector and in hotel operations
