About This Role

This two-year Graduate Programme offers a career within the Environmental Services team, supporting major energy and infrastructure projects across various sectors. You will work alongside experienced environmental consultants, focusing on either ecology or water environments, while gaining exposure to the wider environmental services practice. The role is ideal for graduates passionate about protecting the natural environment and applying their knowledge to real-world projects.

Responsibilities

• Support ecological or water-related surveys, site walkovers, and environmental monitoring
• Collect, manage, and analyze environmental data using tools such as Excel and GIS
• Assist with environmental assessments, technical reports, management plans, and project documentation
• Help identify environmental risks, constraints, and potential impacts associated with project design and construction
• Support compliance with environmental legislation, standards, consent conditions, and monitoring requirements
• Work with environmental specialists, designers, engineers, construction teams, clients, and regulators
• Contribute to practical recommendations that protect habitats, species, groundwater, and surface water
• Take part in project meetings, field activities, and technical reviews while developing specialist knowledge

Requirements

• Recently completed, or expect to complete, a relevant degree before joining the Graduate Programme
• For the ecology pathway, this may include Ecology, Biology, Zoology, Environmental Science, Conservation, or a closely related discipline
• For the water pathway, this may include Geology, Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, Geography, or a closely related discipline
• Genuine interest in developing a career within ecology or the water environment
• Interest in how major energy and infrastructure projects interact with the natural environment
• Enjoy working with environmental information, evidence, and data
