About the role
Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical and engineering support to customers, business partners, and internal stakeholders across the assigned region.
- Support customers in technical enquiries, product-related issues, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Assist in product qualification, evaluation and testing activities to ensure products meet customer and technical requirements.
- Support technical promotion and product introduction by providing product specifications, technical information and application support to customers and business partners.
- Provide post-sales technical support, including RMA handling, failure analysis and diagnostic activities.
- Utilise relevant diagnostic tools and technical data to identify product issues and support root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with internal engineering, sales and other cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and follow up on customer requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, analysis and documentation relating to product qualification, troubleshooting and customer issues.
- Monitor and follow up on technical issues to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Keep updated on product specifications, technologies and industry developments, particularly in the storage and HDD industry.
- May be required to support regional customers and business partners on-site or remotely when necessary.
- Perform other engineering and technical duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines.
- Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant engineering, technical support, product qualification, testing or troubleshooting experience will be advantageous.
- Experience in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD), data storage, semiconductor, electronics or related technology industry will be an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot technical issues systematically.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with customers, business partners and internal stakeholders.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Willingness to travel regionally when required.
