About the role

Team Leader Energy & Power and Casualty Claims We are seeking a Team Leader to join our Energy & Power and Casualty Claims Advocacy team at Marsh Pacific. This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role supports the Head of Energy & Power and Casualty Claims Advocacy and plays a key part in leading the team, managing client relationships and delivering high-quality claims advice. You will work with clients, brokers, insurers and internal teams to resolve complex claims issues and support business growth. The role also involves coaching team members, improving processes and contributing to a collaborative claims environment.

We will count on you to:

  • Act as a key point of contact for the team on technical, administrative and people-related matters
  • Support the Head of Energy & Power and Casualty Claims Advocacy in managing workload, priorities and team performance
  • Provide proactive technical advice to clients on indemnity, policy coverage and claims strategy
  • Manage moderate to high complexity claims and liaise with clients, insurers, claimants and external providers
  • Build productive client and broker relationships, respond to queries and prepare reports and claims trend analysis
  • Coach, develop and support team members, including onboarding new starters and facilitating regular team meetings
  • Contribute to new business, client retention and continuous improvement initiatives across the Claims Advocacy team

What you need to have:

  • Experience in claims management, client service or a related insurance environment
  • Experience working with an insurer, broker or loss adjuster
  • Experience in claims handling across contract work, ISR, third-party liability and or environmental lines
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly, manage priorities and work effectively with clients, brokers and internal stakeholders
