About the role
Who we are We are a team that coordinates the strategies and business portfolios of group affiliates, manages business/financial performance, supports major investment decisions, and addresses various issues.
Responsibilities In this role, you will conduct feasibility assessments for investments and new business opportunities related to energy business strategies, and oversee the operation of energy businesses across the group. In addition, you will analyze relevant industries for each affiliate, develop mid- to long-term strategies, manage business performance, support key investment decision-making, and address key issues.
■ Business Strategy Development
- Supporting business strategy development and reviewing strategic initiatives for HMG, including energy-related businesses
- Analyzing capabilities, identifying competitive gaps, and developing action plans
■ Synergy Strategy Development
- Developing competitiveness enhancement strategies across key affiliates in energy-related businesses and establishing internal and external collaboration strategies
■ Financial/Investment Performance Analysis
- Analyzing business performance, assessing investment feasibility and performance, and identifying improvement opportunities
■ New Business Planning
- Planning new business opportunities in industries operated by affiliates and adjacent industries and developing mid- to long-term growth strategies
- Analyzing industry, technology, and competitor trends, identifying strategic investment opportunities, and assessing investment feasibility
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business strategy, corporate planning, or new business development
- Proficiency in English (fluent in both written and oral business communication)
- Deep understanding of changes in industrial paradigms and global trends, and strong quick‑learning abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Business Administration, MBA, or Energy-related major
- Proficiency in other languages such as Japanese and Chinese (to the extent of conducting online data research)
- Those holding a CPA or CFA certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience with a global strategy consulting firm
- Experience in the energy industry, including nuclear energy, hydrogen ecosystems, and power brokerage, with combined experience in engineering, industry, and business strategy
- Ability to learn across diverse industries and disciplines, write structured reports, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
