Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Endoscopy Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Endoscopy Nurse will be responsible for assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures, as well as providing care and support to patients before, during, and after the procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and other diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications
- Ensure proper documentation of procedures and patient outcomes
- Educate patients on post-procedure care instructions and follow-up care
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the endoscopy suite
- Stay current on best practices and guidelines for endoscopy nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice
- Certification in gastroenterology nursing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a registered nurse in an endoscopy setting
- Strong clinical skills, including the ability to assist with and perform endoscopic procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
