Role Overview: The Endoscopy Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care in a collaborative surgical environment.
Responsibilities include evaluating patients pre-surgery, educating patients and families, preparing patients with IV therapy and medications, participating in surgical site verification, recognizing emergencies, and documenting patient conditions.
They work as part of an interdisciplinary team, applying critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe care and continuous improvement.
Qualifications include RN licensure with an associate degree, at least 1 year of RN experience, and certifications in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Call responsibilities require a 30-minute response time.
