Employee Relations Manager - Hybrid

About This Role

This Employee Relations Manager role involves leading high-risk and sensitive ER matters, supporting and developing a small ER team, and partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver commercially focused people solutions. It suits someone who enjoys balancing operational ER with wider strategic influence, using insight and data to drive improvements across policy, process, and manager capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex ER cases, investigations, and appeals
• Act as the escalation point for sensitive employee matters
• Coach and develop ER team members and managers
• Support organisational change activity including restructures and TUPE
• Use ER data and trends to influence business decisions
• Help shape ER policy, best practice, and wellbeing initiatives
• Support senior leaders with pragmatic, risk-aware advice

Requirements

• Strong experience managing complex ER casework within a large or multi-site organisation
• Excellent UK employment law knowledge
• Confident stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior level
• A commercially minded and solutions-focused approach
• Strong coaching, analytical, and decision-making capability
• Passion for delivering fair, consistent, and people-focused ER practice
• Experience within an international environment would be advantageous
