Employee Relations Manager

About This Role

This role focuses on delivering the employee relations strategy and advising on labor relations within a legal entity or site. It involves managing social files, ensuring compliance with internal rules and legal obligations, and organizing meetings with representative unions and works councils. The position suits an individual who can provide legal and HR expertise, support well-being initiatives, and actively promote diversity and ethical practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and delivery of employee and social partner communication and consultation strategy
• Support Site HR with efficiency projects, providing legal guidance when required
• Work closely with ER teams to implement strategies, policies, and practices
• Advise on labor relations
• Process proceedings relative to tribunal disputes, working with the Legal department and lawyers as necessary
• Manage disciplinary files and social law litigations
• Manage the administrative processing of files (letters, memos, etc.) linked to the management of social files and social administration
• Support and align site HR and managers on Employee Relations, respecting policies, procedures, and orientations defined by the Group, Division, and National HR leaders
• Define the general strategy (especially through HR Policies and Procedures), submitted to PG/Division/Group/National Directorate approvals
• Coach and train managers and HR teams on HRPP and ER orientations
• Control and audit the effective application of these rules
• Monitor the strict respect of internal rules and legal obligations, especially regarding delegations and communication rules related to employment litigations
• Prepare and participate in union meetings
• Replace Site HR manager (absence, special or general delegation) for all Employee Relations actions and meetings
• Assist the HRD in leading meetings with social partners and negotiate to reach an agreement
• Set up the various annual deadlines with the representative unions: employee representative committee, Health & Hygiene Committee, safety, work conditions, staff representatives
• Follow up on proceedings records with the representative unions
• Support and contact for operational teams relating to rules
• Support on pre-contentious matters
• Support merger and acquisition projects, bringing legal and HR expertise during the due diligence phase, before closing, and for further integration into the Group
• Promote and support well-being at work initiatives, directly derived from the results of the Employee Feedback Surveys
• Contribute to generating innovative initiatives in employee relations
• Promote People Ethics by building a safe and respectful working environment, especially through prevention and sanction of harassment/discrimination
• Contribute to CSR initiatives deployment
• Support actively diversity initiatives in all sites
