Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded AM Law 50 law firm seeking a Emerging Companies & Growth Associate (3rd–5th Year) to join its Palo Alto, CA office.
The role sits within a sophisticated emerging companies and growth practice advising early- and growth-stage businesses on core corporate matters. Associates can also gain capital markets exposure and participate in business development as the Bay Area practice continues to expand.

The Role
The successful attorney will support and lead key components of the practice, including:
- Advise early-stage and growth-stage companies on general corporate matters.
- Support financing and other strategic corporate transactions.
- Assist on capital markets matters, including IPO-related work, where appropriate.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients and internal deal teams.
- Participate in business development and practice-growth initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a Emerging Companies & Growth Associate (3rd–5th Year) with:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience advising early-stage and growth-stage companies and handling general corporate matters.
- Strong academic credentials, achievement drive, entrepreneurial mindset and client-management skills.
- Preferred: issuer/underwriter capital markets experience and relevant experience at an AM Law 50 firm.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000–$365,000, depending on experience, qualifications and other relevant factors.
