Emergency Services Dispatcher
The Colchester Police Department is seeking a collaborative and flexible full-time dispatcher to join its team. Receives and distributes emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Dispatches and assists Police, Fire and Rescue personnel and serves internal and external customers in a safe and timely manner.
Ability to receive, correlate and accurately disseminate oral and written communication, multi-task in a sometimes-stressful environment, exercise professional judgement, and act quickly, calmly and accurately in an emergency situation. Successful candidates should be proficient in MS Office Suite and possess good typing skills. Experience with OpenFox, CAD/RMS preferred.
Customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced, high-stress environment. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, including some overtime. Requires successful completion of background investigation.
