Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a high acuity emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
- Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree; preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred.
