Northern Health is seeking locum physicians to work in the St. John Hospital Emergency Department in Vanderhoof, British Columbia.
ER shifts can be 24 hours (0800-0800), or 12 hours (0800-2000, 2000-0800) with flexibility for 6 - hour blocks during weekdays. You can expect to see 25 patients in a 24-hour shift, 5 of those would be during night shift.
New APP Rates, Effective August 1, 2025
- CCFP rate: $4,032- $4,122 /weekday day 8 am to 8 pm, $4,334 -$4,425/weekend day 8 am to 8 pm, $4,443/weekday night 8 pm to 8am, $4,443 - $4,534/weekend night 8 pm to 8am, $8,475/ weekday 8am – 8am, $8,778 - $8,963 weekend 8am – 8am
- CCFP-EM rate: $4,440 - $4,531 /weekday day 8 am to 8 pm, $4,743 -$4,833/weekend day 8 am to 8 pm, $4,852/weekday night 8 pm to 8am, $4,852 - $4,942/weekend night 8 pm to 8am, $9,291/ weekday 8am – 8am, $9,594 - $9,779 weekend 8am – 8am
Site has X-ray, lab, ultrasound during the day, and support with local GP anesthesia and GP surgery. The referral site is in Prince George, 1 hour away.
Visiting specialists to the hospital include general internist, orthopedics, ENT, plastics, geriatrics, psychiatry, pediatrics, and physiatry.
