Elevator Technician

About This Role

This Elevator Technician position involves performing field service work on all types of elevators, VRCs, and Rack and Pinion systems, using industry-standard methods and procedures. A technician is expected to be an authority on most technical aspects of the elevator industry.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company onsite in an expert and professional manner
• Demonstrate expert knowledge in electrical, mechanical, structural, application, and estimation
• Demonstrate the ability to supervise a varied number of personnel
• Make decisions and supervise work in the best interest of the company
• Work as a team member at any level required to complete the job
• Assist the company in maintaining proper appearance, conduct, and productivity
• Acquire and maintain tooling needed to perform technical requirements in a superlative manner
• Work in a safe and healthy manner

Requirements

• 4+ years' experience in the elevator industry or equivalent
• Possess or be eligible to get a CET or NEIEP elevator mechanic's certificate
• Possess or be eligible to get a TWIC card
• Elevator knowledge
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for long periods of time
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficient
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to pass drug/alcohol screening and background check
• Knowledge of tools/craft
• Dependable
• Organizational skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background (DISA) and submit to random and annual drug testing as required
