| | | --- | | Position Purpose | | The Technologist (R)RT /RCIS / RCES assists the physician during all invasive EP procedures. Provide patient care to all electrophysiology patients, including acquisition of all pertinent information related to their procedure. Provide didactic and clerical training to employee and CVT students. Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: adolescent (13 to 17 years), adult (18-64 years, and geriatric (over 64 years). | | Position Qualifications | | Education: Registered Radiology Technologist license required EP / Special Procedures / or Cardiac Cal Lab experience required. RCIS registry preferred RCES registry preferred | | Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes Usually includes one (1) to two (2) years experience, continuing education desirable. Numerical ability, program presentation and training, communication skills, typing and dictation, mechanically inclined, Public Relations aptitude, teach/explain/instruct, clerical accuracy. | | Licenses/Certificates: BCLS Certification, must be completed prior to end of orientation period. ACLS Certification. |
