Electromechanical Engineer II

Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Range: $40 - $55 per hour
Job Summary:
Seeking an Electromechanical Engineer II with 3–5 years of experience in electric motor design and development. The role involves designing, analyzing, testing, and optimizing high-speed induction and permanent magnet motors used in fans, pumps, and compressors. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in motor simulation, CAD design, testing, and manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-speed electric motors (up to 70,000 RPM).
- Perform electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical analysis using FEA/CFD tools.
- Create CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Develop test plans and conduct motor performance, thermal, vibration, and efficiency testing.
- Support manufacturing, assembly, troubleshooting, and product validation activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and present technical solutions to customers and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of electric motor design and development experience.
- Strong knowledge of electromagnetic theory, motor design, and simulation tools.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar CAD software.
- Experience with motor teardown, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 drawing standards.
- Hands-on hardware and testing experience required.
- Aerospace or military product development experience is a plus.
