Electrician

Duties
As the Electrician in this position, you will:

• Install, repair or replace, modify, load, and test new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, panels, switches, breakers, and controls located in and near installation buildings and structures.
• Troubleshoot problem areas and inspect for defective equipment and faulty wiring.
• Use and maintain various types of hand and/or power tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, soldering irons, cable pullers, hydraulic benders, and pipe threading machines.
• Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications
To qualify for this Electrician WG-2805-10 position, there is no specific length of training or experience required; however, your resume must demonstrate enough experience to show your ability to perform the duties of an Electrician without more than normal supervision (Screen Out Element).
The SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT for this position is: Experience that demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of this Electrician WG-2805-10, without more than normal supervision. This experience must include:

1. Maintain and repair installed electrical systems such as lighting fixtures and wiring, power fixtures and wiring, power sources, fire alarm systems, and/or services battery packs for emergency power systems.
2. Plan and lay out work and complete repairs and installations with little or no technical advice.
3. Ensure that completed work adheres to the National Electrical Code.

Part-Time or Unpaid Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid work on the same basis as for paid experience. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. To receive credit for such experience you must indicate clearly the nature of the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the number of hours per week spent in such employment.
