About This Role
This electrician role involves helping to keep homes and residential properties safe, functional, and operating reliably through field-based service. The work suits an experienced electrician who can work independently, communicate clearly, and complete service calls with strong attention to safety and workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose residential electrical issues
- Troubleshoot outlets, switches, lighting, fixtures, circuits, and breakers
- Repair or replace approved electrical devices and components
- Inspect electrical systems and identify safety concerns
- Test completed work before closing the service call
- Determine when permits, inspections, additional approvals, or specialized work may be required
- Document completed work with clear photos and service notes
- Update work orders and job progress through our mobile work app
- Travel directly between scheduled appointments
Requirements
- At least 5 years of paid electrical experience
- Ability to complete electrical service work independently without supervision
- Experience diagnosing and repairing residential electrical systems
- Understand electrical safety, code requirements, and the limits of their legal scope
- Communicate professionally with customers and our operations team
- Take pride in accurate troubleshooting and quality workmanship
- Your own reliable vehicle
- Your own electrical tools and testing equipment
- A suitable smartphone for GPS, mobile work apps, photos, and digital work orders
- Basic English communication skills
- Reliable attendance and strong organization
Nice to have:
- Valid electrical trade qualifications
- Strong residential service-call experience
- Commercial service experience
- Experience with troubleshooting, lighting, circuits, panels, and electrical repairs
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety and code compliance
- Proven diagnostic and problem-solving ability
