About the Opportunity:
The Electrical Supplier QA role is responsible for ensuring the quality of electrical equipment critical to the organization’s large-scale compute infrastructure projects. This position plays a key role in maintaining supplier standards through audits, testing oversight, and quality control processes, directly contributing to the reliability and speed of the organization's supply chain and build pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Own supplier quality for electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, UPS, and busway from qualification through delivery.
- Conduct factory audits and witness factory acceptance tests at electrical OEM facilities globally.
- Define inspection and test requirements within purchase orders to ensure quality is contractually mandated.
- Manage corrective actions for quality issues and track supplier quality data to inform supplier selection decisions.
Requirements:
- Experience in supplier quality or witness testing for major electrical equipment.
- Ability to critically evaluate electrical test reports and identify potential issues.
- Proven track record of enforcing test standards despite schedule pressures.
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites and effectively utilize site visits.
- Preferred: knowledge of IEEE and ANSI switchgear standards, transformer testing, UPS and battery systems, NETA or NICET credentials.
