We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing project management of higher volume and lower financial impact projects on the Electric Transmission or Distribution system. Typically projects such as transmission line and substation reliability, load driven projects, circuit or VDOT rearrangements, interconnect projects, capital upgrade projects and nontraditional work. Ensures project results meet requirements and provides timely and accurate information and status updates to management and internal and external customers. Responsible for complex scope, cost development, validation, complex permitting, work plans, and environmental studies. Active participation in key project stakeholder negotiations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

• 5+ years of directly related experience in engineering, construction and/or electric transmission.
• Demonstrated experience in project management.
• Ability to work and communicate with all levels of management and staff.
• Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums.
• Strong team building skills.
• Effective negotiating skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education. Preferred Disciplines: Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Project Management Certification preferred.
