Position Summary The Elastomer Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day support for process-related activities for the Elastomer room, including setting up, operating, or tending machines. Candidates will train during the day before being transferred to the night shift.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operates extruders, mills, mold presses, and click presses.
- PSA application, hot and cold bonding.
- Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, and temperatures, and amounts, dimensions, and flow of materials or ingredients.
- Monitor machine operators and observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions.
- Assist with bonding, cutting, and other assigned tasks.
- Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: read blue prints, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows all safety regulations.
