About the role

Job Type: Contract

Our client is seeking an Editorial Coordinator to drive workflow alignment and momentum from initial concept to high-visibility global publication. This is your opportunity to build an intentional, high-impact bridge across creative and digital teams while piloting emerging generative technologies.

Responsibilities:
1. Process & Project Management

  • Workflow Ownership: Own and maintain enterprise Wrike tasking and timelines for editorial, creative, social, and publishing workflows.
  • Capacity & Tracking: Simultaneously support the operational pipeline for approximately 15 concurrent projects, ensuring each content output has clear ownership, a realistic timeline, and transparent status tracking.
  • Bottleneck Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve handoff issues between departments. You are expected to step out of your workspace, seek out stakeholders in person, and track down answers to keep projects moving.
  • Calendar Oversight: Maintain and update the master editorial, creative, photoshoot, and events calendars alongside digital display updates.

2. Editorial, Content & Initiative Support

  • Content Ownership: Directly own the process, drafting, and execution for two small, recurring weekly content assignments.
  • Storytelling Support: Contribute drafting and copy support for corporate channels, including storytelling initiatives.
  • Research & Execution: Assist with background research, fact-checking, and development. Provide hands-on project management support for tentpole moments, major corporate events, initiatives, archives upkeep, and tours under editorial guidance.

3. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • The Operational Bridge: Serve as the daily point of contact connecting our Editorial, Creative, Social, and Publishing teams (including designers, copywriters, and social media specialists).
  • Alignment Meetings: Facilitate status updates, coordinate cross-functional meetings, and handle rigorous operational follow-ups to ensure all teams adhere to established processes.

4. Professional Development & Emerging Technology Opportunities

  • Emerging Tech & AI Support: Assist with cutting-edge exploratory work related to AI-driven discovery and visibility, including GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and LLM-related research, content tagging, or prompt testing. Document best practices as these platforms evolve.
  • Crisis & Issue Monitoring: Support media and social monitoring (utilizing tools like Sprinklr) during heightened risk windows or emerging issues, compiling swift summaries for team reporting and awareness.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Track and synthesize competitor activity across earned and owned channels, documenting snapshots to help inform the broader Communications and Brand teams.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4+ Years of Relevant Experience: Proven track record in project management, traffic management, or editorial coordination within an in-house corporate communications or corporate brand environment.
  • Creative Process Comprehension: Must deeply understand the creative and writing lifecycle. You know how to set realistic expectations with stakeholders, protect creative integrity, and properly map out turnaround times.
  • Proactive & Interpersonal: A high-energy "people person" who doesn't rely solely on email. You must be willing to walk over to colleagues, build relationships across departments, and track down answers dynamically.
  • System Fluency: Strong proficiency in Wrike (or highly comparable enterprise tools like Asana/Monday) and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Foundational interest or functional experience with AI, LLMs, and GEO trends.
  • Experience utilizing Sprinklr or similar enterprise social listening tools.

Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
