Frownies is a heritage skincare brand in the middle of a full brand and website relaunch, and we're hiring an Ecommerce & CRO Manager to own how our Shopify Plus storefront converts, day in and day out. If you love living inside the site, digging into the data, and shipping improvements that move revenue, this one is for you.
About Frownies
We're a family-founded skincare brand with a century of heritage and a modern DTC engine. Our site is our most important revenue channel, and we're currently in the process of redesigning/rebuilding it. You'd join at the exact moment that work matters most.
About the Role
You'll inherit a newly rebuilt Shopify Plus site (designed and developed by our brand partner) and own its day-to-day performance, optimization, and growth from launch forward. You'll work closely with our marketing, retention, and customer care team, partner with our VP of Growth and acquisition team, and report to our Director of Marketing Brand & Experience, who owns overall site and ecommerce strategy.
The ideal person is analytical, detail-obsessed, and happy wearing many hats: building landing pages, running A/B tests, and catching bugs before customers do.
What You'll Own
Site performance and optimization
Own the daily health and performance of our Shopify Plus storefront
Monitor traffic, conversion, and site behavior daily; flag and resolve anomalies fast
Own homepage updates, merchandising, and ongoing content refreshes
Manage and optimize the app stack that affects site speed and functionality
Troubleshoot bugs, pricing discrepancies, and UX issues end to end
Store, catalog, and SEO management
Manage the Shopify product catalog day to day: product setup, variants, metafields, tagging, and collections
Build and maintain automated and manual collections that power navigation, merchandising, and promos
Keep product data clean, structured, and consistent so the storefront, search, and apps all read from one reliable source
Own on-page SEO: page titles, meta descriptions, URL handles, alt text, and on-site content
Support technical SEO in partnership with the VP of Growth: structured data, crawlability, redirects, and site speed
Conversion rate optimization
Build and run a continuous A/B testing program across the site
Turn friction points into prioritized, testable improvements
Build and optimize landing pages using existing theme sections and components
Optimize for conversion rate, AOV, and subscription sign-up
Analytics and reporting
Partner with our VP of Growth on tracking, attribution, and test setup
Produce weekly insights and recommendations, not just dashboards
Use data to decide what to build, test, and merchandise next
Promo and launch execution
Ensure every promotion, offer, and launch goes live accurately and on time
Configure announcement bars, offers, and promotional mechanics
Translate brand and marketing strategy into the onsite experience
Subscription and loyalty support
Make site-side updates that support subscription and loyalty performance (Stay AI, Inveterate)
Improve the paths customers take to subscribe and move up loyalty tiers
What You Bring
3+ years managing Shopify or Shopify Plus ecommerce sites
A strong CRO and testing mindset; you think in hypotheses and results
Sharp UI/UX instincts and a real eye for customer friction
Fluency in Shopify admin: product setup, variants, metafields, tagging, collections
Comfort building landing pages with theme sections and making light theme/code updates
An excellent QA mindset; you catch errors before they ship
Ability to own projects end to end and communicate across teams
Nice to Have
Experience in beauty, skincare, or wellness ecommerce
Familiarity with Stay AI, Inveterate, Klaviyo, or comparable subscription/loyalty tools
Experience in fast-paced, subscription-heavy DTC brands
Comfort working alongside a brand or design partner on a newly built site
Why This Role Matters
You'll own the day-to-day growth and management of our most important revenue channel at the exact moment we relaunch it. You'll have the autonomy to test, build, and improve, with a clear path to grow into a senior ecommerce role as the site and the results scale.
