Early Childhood Teacher, Alpha - $100,000/year USD

At Alpha, academic work happens in just two hours per day through adaptive learning technology. This structure allows Guides to focus on what truly shifts outcomes: fostering confidence, resilience, communication skills, and the drive to pursue difficult challenges. You won't deliver lectures from the front of a room. Instead, you'll coach students through obstacles, recognize progress, and demonstrate what rigorous standards look like when combined with authentic belief.

You'll oversee one K-3 cohort band—either Kindergarten-1st grade or 2nd-3rd grade. Half your time is dedicated to facilitating dynamic, one-hour workshops focused on life skills such as public speaking, concentration, and giving feedback. The remainder is spent providing individualized and small-group coaching, leveraging learning analytics to guide every child toward ambitious weekly targets. Each moment counts. Students should exit your workshops more skilled than when they entered and finish your coaching sessions convinced they can accomplish more than they imagined.

This position is not designed for someone seeking to deliver curriculum or run a traditional classroom. What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitate compelling life-skills workshops that enable K-3 students to develop communication, focus, feedback, and other enduring skills through active engagement rather than passive listening.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching, utilizing Coachbot analytics, established motivation frameworks, and meaningful relationships to ensure every child progresses toward ambitious weekly learning targets.
• Evaluate life-skill proficiency using Alpha's Test2Pass framework, guiding students until they display genuine mastery—not simply attendance.
• Modify your coaching approach to suit the developmental stage of your cohort, whether that involves songs, movement, and narrative for younger students or greater autonomy and accountability for older ones.
• Establish relationships where students feel sufficiently supported to push beyond what they believed they could accomplish.

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Delivering academic instruction from a whiteboard. Students complete academics using adaptive software.
• Developing curriculum from the ground up. You'll refine and tailor proven playbooks rather than creating lessons from scratch.
• Observing students work quietly on devices. Your responsibility is active coaching, encouragement, and engagement.
• Reducing standards when students face difficulties. Progress is achieved by supporting students to meet the goal, not by lowering the goal.
• Overseeing homework, grading assignments, or handling standard parent communications.

Basic Requirements

• Willing to work on-site at an Alpha campus. Current openings at this salary level are available in Scottsdale, AZ; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, Georgetown, Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, and Houston, TX; and Park City (Salt Lake City area), UT.
• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• A minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or comparable settings.
• Demonstrated success motivating young children to reach challenging objectives, with concrete examples of your influence.
• Comfort integrating AI-powered learning while dedicating your effort to coaching, motivation, and life-skill cultivation.
• Capability to combine warmth with consistent high expectations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Background in youth athletics, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori, progressive education, or high-engagement after-school programs.
• Personal history of reaching ambitious objectives in academics, athletics, or your professional life.
• Exceptional storytelling or performance abilities that naturally engage young children.
• Track record of helping hesitant or reserved children grow into confident, active participants.

Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
