About This Role
Owning the frontend experience, conversion performance, and on-site revenue for WooCommerce websites across Horizon Group's brand portfolio is the core of this role. The manager will turn traffic into higher-value purchases through sharper discovery, merchandising, mobile UX, and frictionless checkout journeys. This is a frontend-first e-commerce role, focusing on website priorities, CRO experiments, and measurement quality, working with brand, content, design, and development teams.
Responsibilities
- Own mobile-first UX and commercial page hierarchy across WooCommerce homepages, campaign landing pages, category/PLP, and product/PDP pages
- Diagnose funnel friction, prioritize hypotheses, run controlled A/B tests, and scale proven improvements
- Improve product stories, navigation, recommendations, bundles, cross-sell/upsell, CTAs, and trust signals
- Analyze GA4 funnel/path exploration, product performance, device cohorts, and acquisition segments to identify revenue leakage
- Configure and optimize products, variations, categories, promotions, merchandising blocks, checkout flow, and frontend-related plugins; QA changes before release
- Own WooCommerce-to-GA4/GTM tracking, dataLayer e-commerce events, purchase/order-ID integrity, UTM discipline, conversion tags, and debugging; reconcile GA4 with store orders
- Benchmark global DTC shopping trends and apply best practices through a prioritized test-and-learn roadmap
- Brief creative and web teams, verify releases, and coordinate backend or paid-media input where required
- Publish weekly per-site commercial scorecards, tracking health checks, CRO outcomes, and next actions
Requirements
- 5+ years in e-commerce website management or DTC digital merchandising, with demonstrable CRO ownership and hands-on platform execution
- Proven CRO case studies with measurable impact on RPS, CVR, AOV, or checkout conversion—not just traffic or campaign reach
- Expert hands-on WooCommerce skills (WordPress admin): product setup/variations, page and catalog merchandising, plugins, promotion mechanics, checkout UX, and storefront QA
- Advanced GA4 analysis: e-commerce reports, explorations, funnels, product performance, cohorts, and source/device segmentation
- Strong tracking implementation skills in Google Tag Manager (GTM), WooCommerce dataLayer, and GA4 e-commerce events (view_item, add_to_cart, begin_checkout, purchase); able to debug with GTM Preview / GA4 DebugView
- Able to audit Google Ads conversions and Meta Pixel/CAPI, manage event IDs and deduplication, validate UTMs/consent signals, and reconcile purchase counts and values to WooCommerce orders
- Strong frontend judgment in mobile UX, landing pages, product pages, navigation, and checkout optimization; able to guide developers without being a frontend engineer
