This dual study program trains you to become a tax professional in three years, combining academic study with practical experience. It offers a secure job and an income during your studies at the North Rhine-Westphalia University of Finance, preparing you for a career in the tax office.

Requirements

• Abitur or an educational qualification entitling you to study at a university of applied sciences
• Citizenship of an EU state or a state with an EU legal agreement at the time of employment
• Maximum age of 38 years (exceptions possible)

• Schedule: The study program lasts three years and is dual, alternating theoretical training at the North Rhine-Westphalia University of Finance with practical training at the tax office
• Locations: 21 months of study sections at the North Rhine-Westphalia University of Finance (main campus in Nordkirchen Castle, branch campuses in Herford and Hamminkeln); 15 months of practical phases in the tax office

Dual Study Program Details

The dual study program involves intensive supervision in specially established training districts within the tax office, as well as organized study groups that link theoretical knowledge with professional practice. Key activities include determining and assessing taxes for individuals and companies of all sizes, and auditing assessed taxes in the field service of official tax audits.
