About the role
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for:
- Effectively present hotel benefits and features based on customer needs.
- Develops action plans and sets objectives for increased revenue and maximum profit for hotel management.
- Implements sales and marketing strategies necessary for attracting clients to patronize a hotel
- Carries out research and analysis to identify new markets and business opportunities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sales Manager’s primary responsibilities will include:

Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.

Serves as the hotel representative to prospective clients and customers who need to rent rooms, meeting space, banquet services, etc

Meet and exceed sales goals.

Submit weekly and monthly sales reports.

Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections and off-site presentations for potential clients.

Participate in appropriate organizations, networking events and attend trade shows per market segment.

Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all departments in the hotel to ensure high quality of service to customers.

Develop and continually enhance relationships with key corporate, business, government and travel industry accounts to maintain and increase our market share.

Track activities in Hotel's sales and catering system including all notes, actions and details related to sales activities.

Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day.

Maintain accurate, legible records and files to ensure quality service and ensure repeat business.

Participate in weekly marketing and sales meetings.

Coordinate events with the client including, space requirements, times, equipment, etc.

Knowledge of all hotel facilities and nearby attractions.

Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.

Availability during peak operating times, i.e.: Weekends, Holidays and Special Events.

At least 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience; or a 4 year college degree and at least 2 year of related experience; or a 2 year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience.

Must be skilled in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
