Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings
- Install drywall using screws, nails, or other approved fastening methods
- Ensure drywall panels are properly aligned, level, and securely fastened
- Cut openings for doors, windows, electrical outlets, plumbing, and other fixtures
- Install drywall around corners, ceilings, bulkheads, and other architectural features
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Work closely with drywall finishers and other construction team members to meet project timelines
- Inspect installed drywall for proper alignment, fastening, and overall quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and construction site requirements
- Handle and transport drywall sheets, materials, and tools safely
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a Drywall Installer or in a similar construction role
- Experience with drywall installation on residential, commercial, or industrial projects
- Familiarity with drywall tools, materials, and installation techniques
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install drywall panels
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good physical stamina and strength to lift drywall sheets and perform tasks involving standing, bending, and working overhead for extended periods
