Drywall installers transform spaces by installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces to create smooth, durable walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels accurately according to construction plans and schematics
- Apply drywall mudding, taping, texturing, and finishing techniques to achieve seamless surfaces
- Repair or replace damaged drywall sections efficiently while maintaining safety protocols
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure precise installation
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure drywall materials
- Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation processes
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris in accordance with safety regulations
Requirements
- Extensive experience with drywall installation, mudding, taping, texturing, and repair techniques
- Strong knowledge of construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools such as knives, t-squares, screw guns; and power tools including drills and saws
- Familiarity with metal stud framing, ceiling grid systems, and plastering methods
- Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise installation work
- Capable of working efficiently on construction sites while maintaining high safety standards
Nice to have:
- Experience in related trades such as carpentry, framing, masonry or remodeling
- Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation and fixture installation
- Skilled in caulking, trim carpentry, tile laying or stucco work
