About the role
Job Purpose:
To provide for safe, comfortable and timely transportation of residents to and from the facility
MUST BE CDL LICENSED
Salary Range based on years of experience: $17.60-$27.90/hour
Essential Functions:
Provide transportation of passengers, supplies and equipment as requested by the Director of Nursing and Health Services Unit or appropriate designated authority;
- Safe and timely portal-to-portal transportation of residents on both a scheduled and as needed basis.
- Responsible for pickup and delivery of supplies, equipment and material as required.
- Assures that vehicle is fully fueled and ready to drive; reports mechanical problems to appropriate source for repairs.
- Maintains required transportation logs, records and reports.
- Observes residents for any change in condition and reports same to Unit Manager.
- Ability to observe residents' conditions and respond and communicate with residents and staff:
- Ability to deal effectively and appropriately with residents and public.
- Perform other related assignments as related.
- Ensure resident's rights are followed by all volunteers.
- Performs other related assignments as required.
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
- Must be CDL Licensed
