About This Role
Drafting and revising 2D working drawings based on designs, sketches, 3D models, and directions from the architectural, civil, or interior teams is the core of this role. The Drafter translates 3D models or drawings into accurate 2D technical drawings for project execution, ensuring all technical information is complete and compliant with project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Create and revise 2D working drawings based on designs, sketches, 3D models, and directions from the architectural, civil, or interior teams
- Translate 3D models or drawings into accurate 2D technical drawings as needed for project execution
- Read, understand, and review floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details to ensure completeness of technical information
- Operate AutoCAD and SketchUp to support the creation, development, and revision of technical drawings
- Ensure working drawings comply with dimensions, scale, technical drawing standards, and applicable project specifications
- Update drawings based on input and design changes from relevant teams
- Coordinate with project teams, architects, engineers, and related parties to ensure drawing conformity with project needs
- Manage and archive drawing files and ensure documentation is always updated according to the latest revisions
Requirements
- Minimum D3/S1 education in Building Drawing Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience as a Drafter, especially in property, construction, architecture, or interior design
- Able to read, understand, and interpret civil and interior technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
- Able to accurately translate 3D models or drawings into 2D technical drawings
- Proficient in AutoCAD for creating and revising 2D technical drawings, including the use of layers, Xref (External Reference), dimensions, scale, and drawing layouts
- Able to operate SketchUp to create and read 3D models
- Understand technical drawing standards, symbols, dimensions, scale, and the basics of architectural, civil, and interior construction
- Highly meticulous, able to work according to deadlines, and capable of coordinating with relevant teams
- Able to revise drawings and manage documentation according to standards and project needs
