Drafter

About This Role

Drafting technical and working drawings for furniture products is the core of this role, translating design concepts into detailed and understandable technical drawings for production teams. The position suits a detail-oriented individual with strong CAD skills, preferably with experience in furniture manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed dimensions, materials, construction, joints, and product components in drawings
• Create and revise drawings based on prototype results, testing, and production requirements
• Ensure drawings comply with technical standards and manufacturing requirements
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality, and Purchasing in product development processes
• Assist in creating and updating BOM (Bill of Materials) and product technical data as needed
• Check drawings to ensure accuracy of dimensions, details, and consistency
• Document and manage drawing revisions and technical documents

Requirements

• Minimum SMK/D3 in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or a related field
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Understanding of basic engineering drawing, dimensioning, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Detail-oriented with high attention to detail
• Able to read and understand technical drawings
• Problem-solving and communication skills
• Able to work systematically, meet deadlines, and collaborate with various departments

Nice to have:

• Experience as a Drafter, particularly in furniture/manufacturing
• Ability to use SketchUp, Autodesk Inventor, CorelDraw, or other 3D/CAD software
