About This Role

This independent contractor role is for an experienced birth and full-spectrum doula to educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. The doula will play a vital role in improving birth outcomes by ensuring families feel supported and empowered during this transformative time.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period
• Play a vital role in improving birth outcomes by ensuring that families feel supported and empowered during this transformative time
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation for visits and birth support
• Follow applicable documentation, privacy, quality, and compliance standards for services conducted through Pomelo

Requirements

• Completed certification and training as a birth and/or full-spectrum doula
• Experience working as a doula with an in-depth understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with families from diverse backgrounds both virtually and in-person
• Comfortable using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems
• Availability for virtual and in-person work, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of families
• Located in or able to serve one of our core service areas: Lee, Okaloosa, Escambia, Hillsborough and Santa Rosa county in Florida
