This role as a Dog Walker involves providing attentive, safe, and engaging walks for four-legged clients. The position suits a dependable, compassionate, and experienced animal care professional who is passionate about canine wellbeing and demonstrates a calm, confident, and positive presence with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service
• Render dog walking services offered: 10 minute potty breaks, 25 minute skill practice walks, 50 minute skill practice walks
• Walk dogs in various weather conditions and plan routes to ensure safety and enrichment
• Ensure proper leash handling, use of walking gear, and avoid interaction with other animals and people
• Use only Fear Free, force-free methods to support skill-building and emotional wellbeing

Requirements

• Proven professional dog handling experience in a veterinary clinic, dog daycare, grooming salon, or similar professional animal care setting
• Demonstrate confident, safe, and compassionate handling skills with dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments
• Sound understanding of animal behaviour and body language
• A commitment to treating all animals with compassion and care
• Ability to walk for long periods of time and in various weather conditions
• Excellent communication skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to safely and humanely handle and control dogs of various sizes and breeds
• Professional dog handling: 1 year (required)
