Position Summary The Engineering – Project Department of Tarkwa Gold Mine seeks to employ an experienced individual to fill a Document Controller position on a Two -Year Fixed Term Contract through a Third-Party Contractor .
The successful applicant will be responsible for processing project documents and ensure that documents are distributed per procedure. The incumbent will update the document register as well as prepare necessary reports for vendors and the construction manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with engineers, vendors and site personnel regarding verification of documents
- Establish and maintain vendor document, drawing and package registers
- Ensure that the use of resources are not exceeded, and also work within the approved budget
- Prepare project reports for distribution as well as exception reports for the Project Manager
- Administer record keeping and tracking of documents
- Provide applicable and comprehensive control systems and procedures to all GFG projects
- Ensure that all documentation complies with project standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain a safe and friendly environment to ensure effective engineering standards and procedures are developed and implemented in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements
Key Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management or construction related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in document control on a project
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and the ability to manage BIM-related documents
- Efficiently manage large volumes of documents and maintain systematic filing systems
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact with people from diverse cultures and levels
- A hands-on approach, and willingness to work long hours to obtain required results
- Reliable, honest and trustworthy
- Medical fitness for the position and environment
- Valid Ghanaian driver’s license and proficiency in driving light vehicles
