Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and RESTful APIs using the Django framework
- Take ownership of features from design through development, deployment, and production support
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through deep code analysis and root-cause debugging
- Build maintainable, high-quality software by following coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and technical design discussions
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, security, and reliability
- Document technical solutions and share knowledge across the team
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience developing applications using the Django framework
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (Django REST Framework is a plus)
- Good working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices
- Experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS
- Familiarity with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and API documentation
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, caching, application security, and performance optimization
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
