About This Role
Keeping the restaurant clean and organized to high standards is the main focus of this dishwasher role, ensuring guests receive excellent food and beverage service. This position suits a motivated individual who can work autonomously and contribute to a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Primarily focus on keeping the dish, trash, and floor areas clean and organized to the highest level of health and kitchen standards
- Maintain the dish machine by checking for chemicals, understanding its operation, reporting malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef, and keeping chemical testers on hand
- Know how to use all sanitizing materials for cleaning
- Check trash periodically and remove if full
- Organize the dish area with all solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silver
- Maintain a pace for washing all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware
- Exercise caution when working with breakables (e.g., dishes and glassware)
- Keep floors clean from spills, grease, and general trash
- Assist with preparation and additional cleaning throughout the kitchen as needed
- Maintain a professional relationship with all line cooks, coworkers, chef, and front-of-the-house staff
- Uphold all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and third-party Sanitation auditors
