About This Role
This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, glassware, silverware, and kitchen areas within a fast-paced environment. The Dishwasher ensures that all supplies are cleaned and organized efficiently to meet business demands.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all dishware, glassware, and silverware
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas and equipment
- Maintain a pace of work that allows supplies to be cleaned and put in their proper place, meeting business demands
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment while preparing tableware for washing, including scraping plates and pre-soaking silverware
- Set up dishwashing machine, ensuring drains are closed, tanks are filled, temperatures are at the correct level, and detergent is at the proper level
- Thoroughly clean dishwashing equipment and working areas
- Handle the removal of garbage and refuse
- Mop and sweep floors
- Wash walls and ceiling tiles
- Wash, stack, and store china in appropriate kitchen area
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Applicant must be at least 16 years of age
- Prior restaurant/cleaner experience preferred (6 months-1 year experience)
- Must present sanitation certificate from local Health Department
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends
