About This Role

Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dishwashing areas is the primary focus of this role. The Dishwasher ensures all china, dishes, pots, pans, trays, equipment, and utensils are kept in an orderly and sanitary condition, supporting the overall operation of the food and beverage outlets.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
• Wash pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation, and letting them dry completely before storing or reusing
• Polish silver using a burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
• Ensure compliance with all outlined safety procedures, including the use of cut gloves when handling and cleaning knives
• Maintain and track temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards, and inform the supervisor in a timely manner if levels are off
• Clean and maintain the dish area in an orderly manner, including mats and clear walkways, in compliance with all safety standards
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and all other food prep surfaces as assigned
• Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers
• Steam clean or hose out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, observing all safe lifting standards
• Assist with loading or unloading supplies and product
• Perform other functions and duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school education or GED preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
