About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Director, Sterility Assurance to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.
This leader will shape global sterility assurance strategy across a complex pharmaceutical environment, strengthening contamination control and supporting inspection readiness. The role partners closely with sites and cross-functional teams to manage risk, lead investigations, and drive consistent practices worldwide. It is a highly influential position with meaningful impact on quality, compliance, and the advancement of life-saving therapies.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve biological contamination control strategies
- Oversee the global sterility assurance strategy and risk mitigation
- Act as a subject matter expert for contamination control practices
- Lead risk assessments and respond to contamination events
- Facilitate investigations and implement corrective actions across sites
- Drive standardization of sterility assurance practices globally
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives for inspection readiness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or higher degree in Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related field
- Significant leadership experience in sterile pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments
- Deep expertise in sterility assurance and contamination control
- Experience with complex investigations and regulatory inspections
- Proven ability to influence within global organizations
