About This Role
Directing and coordinating activities to protect company assets, team members, members, owners, and guests is the core of this role. The Director of Security ensures the safety and security of valued guests and maintains a safe and secure environment for everyone on the property.
Responsibilities
- Plan, examine, analyze, evaluate, and supervise security operations
- Prepare and maintain accurate information for audits
- Prepare reports and records for the management team and evaluate current procedures, practices and precedents for accomplishing activities and functions relative to security
- Prepare periodic budget estimates and reports, order supplies and equipment as needed
- Supervise security personnel initiating personnel actions including recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions and discipline or dismissal, prepare work schedules, assign or delegate responsibilities and evaluate performance
- Conduct, supervise and prepare reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of regulations, policies and procedures
- Serve as liaison with public law enforcement, fire and other agencies as it relates to security
- Ensure overall compliance with OSHA rules and regulations and maintain accurate MSDS labeling and records
- Carry out all reasonable requests or special projects by management of which the employee is capable of performing
- Assist in implementing, training and administering automated security systems, maintain records and conduct periodic inspections
- Coordinate training with regard to loss prevention, fire, blood-borne pathogens and all other safety topics related to all team members
Requirements
- 3+ years of related security experience
- 2+ years of managerial/supervisory experience
- Flexibility with availability and schedule with a 24/7 operation
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Guard Card
