Director of Product Management

About This Role

Directing product management at Xponential Fitness involves leading the next phase of its digital experience, starting as a hands-on senior individual contributor and growing into a team-building, people-leading role. This position focuses on owning the roadmap for cross-brand digital web and app experiences, partnering with various stakeholders, and eventually building and mentoring a product management team.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for Xponential digital web and app cross-brand experience
• Write product specs, prioritize the backlog, and run the day-to-day rituals of an agile team, including standups, sprint planning, and retros
• Partner directly with engineering and design to scope, build, and ship features, staying close to execution rather than delegating it
• Use data to make prioritization calls and to measure what shipped, working closely with analytics on funnel performance, engagement, and retention across brands
• Build relationships with brand presidents, general managers, and franchisee operators to understand what each brand needs from the digital product
• Translate brand needs into a shared roadmap
• Partner with marketing, brand leadership, and the VP of Digital Experience on how digital product priorities support company-wide growth goals
• Represent product in conversations with franchisee advisory councils and other stakeholders
• Define the hiring plan with the VP of Digital Experience for a product management team
• Lead recruiting as headcount is approved
• Hire, onboard, and mentor product managers, setting the standards for how the team writes specs, runs experiments, and communicates with stakeholders
• Work with the VP of Digital Experience to build the product management practice at Xponential from the ground up, including how the team works with design, technology, engineering and data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant experience
• 8 or more years of product management experience, with a track record of owning roadmaps and shipping consumer-facing digital products end to end
• Demonstrated readiness to build and lead a team, which might include prior people management experience, or strong evidence of mentoring, project leadership, and the judgment to hire and develop others
• Comfortable operating without a team in the near term
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders, including people who do not report to them, such as franchisee operators or brand leaders
• A data-informed approach to product decisions, with fluency in product analytics tools and comfort defining and tracking success metrics
