Director of Product
New York, NY (Hybrid - 4 days on site)
Salary: Up to $250,000 Basic W/Equity
The Company
We're partnering with a fast-growing technology business that is transforming how organizations manage global workforce operations. Backed by significant investment and experiencing rapid growth, the company has built an AI-driven platform that streamlines payroll, compliance, payments, and workforce management on an international scale.
As they continue to expand, they're looking for a Director of Product to lead product strategy, team development, and execution across a complex and highly impactful product suite.
The Role
This is a highly visible leadership position reporting directly to the executive team. You'll be responsible for shaping product vision, driving roadmap execution, and leading a multidisciplinary product organization while remaining close enough to the work to influence user experience and product quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and execute the long-term product strategy across multiple product lines.
- Lead and develop Product Managers and Product Designers, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
- Partner closely with engineering leadership to prioritize initiatives and drive successful delivery.
- Conduct customer discovery and translate insights into scalable product improvements.
- Drive innovation in AI-powered product experiences and workflow automation.
- Balance usability, compliance, and operational complexity within a regulated technology environment.
- Work cross-functionally with go-to-market, executive, and technical stakeholders to influence company growth and direction.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience.
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing product teams.
- Proven success delivering complex B2B SaaS, fintech, HR technology, or payments products.
- Strong product strategy and execution capabilities.
- Deep understanding of user experience and product design principles.
- Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies within product development workflows.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred experience includes:
- Payroll, fintech, payments, compliance, or HR technology experience.
- Experience building products for global markets.
- Early-stage startup or scaling business experience.
- Exposure to both enterprise and SMB customer segments.
