Director of Product Management

About This Role

Directing the software product strategy and execution is the core of this leadership role. You will articulate a vision and create and execute a roadmap to support renewable asset management at scale across multiple asset classes and markets, maximizing financial performance and creating delightful experiences for homeowners and end consumers of renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive product strategy aligned with business objectives, market trends, and technical advancements in renewable energy
• Communicate product strategy clearly and effectively to maintain alignment across company departments
• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for digital platforms that provide performance monitoring, predictive maintenance, and financial reporting for solar, wind, and storage assets
• Collaborate closely with engineering, asset accounting, business insights, and both customer and field operations to prioritize features, define requirements, and deliver high-quality software that enhances operational efficiency
• Keep abreast of developments and new requirements arising from investment groups, and drive to clarify and execute existing known market needs
• Hire, mentor, and lead a team of product managers, fostering a high-performance culture and establishing best practices for product delivery
• Coach communication skills in both written, oral, and prepared presentation format to your team
• Establish key performance metrics (KPIs) to analyze product performance, track ROI, and inform strategic decisions

Requirements

• 7+ years in product management, with a proven record of launching B2B SaaS, preferably within energy, IoT, or fintech sectors
• Strong understanding of renewable energy systems (Solar, Wind, BESS), technical asset management, and financial drivers
• Ability to translate technical data streams (IoT/SCADA) into user-friendly software
• Demonstrated ability and openness to build commercial software ecosystems using a combination of third-party and proprietary software
• Experience mentoring product teams and influencing stakeholders cross-functionally
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Journalism, Anthropology or related fields
• Work/life experience demonstrating significant intellectual curiosity, growth mindset, and personal grit

Nice to have:

• MBA or Industrial Engineering graduate degree
• Experience and significant curiosity about AI in software development, decision support, and contact center applications in particular
• Experience in a high-growth startup environment
