About This Role

This leadership role oversees the daily operations of a hybrid accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) learning site, collaborating with the university and healthcare partners. The Director of Nursing Services is accountable for providing leadership and management for the site, which may include scheduling, proctoring, skills laboratory, clinical placement and compliance, and simulation. The position suits an experienced nursing professional with a passion for shaping future nurses and passing on knowledge to the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight of the daily operations for the ABSN site.
• Lead, implement, and evaluate site operations to ensure strong student outcomes and program efficiencies.
• Supervise, support, set goals for, train, and coach assigned faculty and staff.
• Develop and execute strategies for the efficient scheduling of all academic events at the learning site in alignment with curriculum and operational standards.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on operational performance and progress in accordance with predetermined formats and deadlines.
• Oversee the recruitment and professional development of faculty and staff, ensuring compliance with university, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Develop and maintain ongoing clinical relationships within the community.
• Provide a positive example to students, faculty, and staff by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
• Establish and monitor processes to ensure the learning site meets accreditation and regulatory standards and take appropriate action if remedy is needed.
• Promote and model a Christ-centered worldview in all aspects of leadership, decision-making, and faculty engagement.
• Foster a strong sense of community and shared purpose among faculty, staff, and students.
• Support the development and integration of Christian character and professional virtue education, associated with healthcare and science professions.
• Encourage integration of Christian faith and learning across curriculum, instruction, and student engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years nursing practice
• Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university required
• Master’s degree or a doctoral degree in nursing required
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a professional nursing education program
• Leadership experience within a professional nursing education program
• Unencumbered current licensure or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in Texas
• Must pass pre-employment background investigation
