As the Director of Nursing Professional Development, you'll develop and support educational programs which foster the professional development of clinical personnel, guide and recommend development of best practices with Patient Care Service departments, and assist department leaders in the development of initiatives for staff development and education.

Minimal Qualifications
Education
- Master's degree in nursing or nursing education from a nationally accredited nursing program
Experience
- 3-4 years progressively more responsible roles in nursing
- Experience in nursing education or professional development in an acute care setting
- Leadership or supervisory experience leading a team of >15 nursing educators is highly (preferred)
- Experience working in a matrix reporting structure (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the State of Maryland or District of Columbia
- NPD - Nursing Professional Development certification from a nationally recognized nursing organization within 2 years required or Cert Nurse Educator - CNE from a nationally recognized nursing organization within 2 years required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit
