Director of Facilities Management

About This Role

Directing the facilities management, loss prevention, and telecommunications functions of a brand new hospital is the core of this role. The Director will also oversee Food Services, Environmental Services, and Security, and is responsible for developing and monitoring a safety management program. This position suits a leader who can ensure regulatory compliance and proper implementation of security and emergency preparedness procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, manage, and control the hospital's facilities management functions
• Plan, organize, manage, and control loss prevention management functions
• Plan, organize, manage, and control telecommunications functions
• Provide direct oversight of Food Services, Environmental Services, and Security
• Develop, implement, and monitor a safety management program
• Conduct and document regular facilities inspections related to Life Safety and Environment of Care
• Ensure Security and Emergency Preparedness procedures are implemented properly
• Serve as the facility Safety / Security Officer

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years experience in a Healthcare Facilities Management role
• Understanding of Regulatory Compliance (e.g., Life Safety NFPA 101, 2012)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames

• Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager preferred
