Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

The Director of Marriage and Family Life serves as a valuable part of the ministry team at St. Patrick Parish in Wentzville. This position works in conjunction with the ministry team to provide comprehensive evangelization efforts for the parish, particularly through parish outreach initiatives, event coordination, and Sacramental coordination.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement parish evangelization opportunities targeted primarily to adults.
  • Serve as point person for implementation of hospitality measures for parish ministry events.
  • Assist in the efforts of St. Patrick’s pastoral strategic plan, RENEW, especially by serving as the primary point of contact for the RENEW discipleship group leaders.
  • Design and implement outreach opportunities to those on the fringe of parish life.
  • Design and implement outreach for young adults, in conjunction with Archdiocesan efforts, capitalizing on our new 8pm Sunday night Mass to provide intentional community time for young adults.
  • Design and implement a cohesive process for training of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and for Communion to the Sick/Homebound.
  • Serve as parish point of contact for the Parish Life Ministry, helping provide comprehensive outreach and hospitality to new and existing parishioners and offering community outreach on behalf of the parish.
  • Work closely with wedding coordinator and priests to redesign marriage preparation measures.
  • Oversee Adoration chapel signups and other needs.
  • Oversee various Sacramental needs including but not limited to: marriage preparation, Vocation awareness, and Holy Day Mass coordination.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in parish ministry or campus ministry required.
  • Familiarity with best practices in evangelization and discipleship preferred.

Skills & Attitudes Required for Success in Job

  • Teachable, docile, and desiring to learn.
  • Confident and familiar with public speaking.
  • Life of prayer and the Sacraments.
