Director, HR Business Partner - Tech

About This Role

This Director, HR Business Partner role is for an HR consulting leader who will enable game-changing business results by providing programs and solutions that unleash greatness in associates. The position involves working with Tech clients to deliver on people initiatives and talent strategy, shaping the overall people strategy for the business, and being part of a winning team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Consult with senior executives, other HRBPs, and HR partner groups (people analytics, recruiting, compensation, associate relations, learning & development, etc.) to drive business success by providing thought leadership and direction, accountable for delivering an HR strategy aligned with organizational needs
• Lead senior executives in translating business strategy into a talent strategy that embeds and reinforces a culture where associates are seen, heard, valued, and have an equitable opportunity to succeed
• Deliver and lead all talent-related deliverables, including defining a talent strategy that supports business strategy/objectives
• Conduct strategic workforce planning, including succession planning
• Develop recruiting/retention strategies, including talent competition marketplace assessments to effectively compete and motivate talent to achieve business objectives
• Assess Human Capital risks for the business and develop remediation strategies as appropriate
• Leverage key trends and/or gaps to incorporate within strategic decisions and talent plan
• Assess skills gaps and partner with the business
• Manage employment practice risk weighing short and long-term impacts, including Associate Relation mitigation strategies, staffing/co-employment strategies, etc.
• Influence the prioritization of work that will drive the highest value for client groups
• Provide executive coaching and advice on key areas such as leadership, teamwork, organizational design, strategy, etc.
• Create and support business outcomes with HR programs, initiatives, and strategies leading to a market competitive advantage
• Develop innovative and creative solutions with a willingness to push and challenge for transformative work
• Lead and participate in enterprise-wide HR project work, partnering with peers across the organization to create and share systemic solutions to HR challenges
• Measure effectiveness of HR strategy and programs to ensure business effectiveness
• Leverage data to craft insights that focus intentional action
• Be an inspiring leader to the HR team and partners, providing focus through vision and prioritization, and elevating the team through coaching and development

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
• At least 7 years of client-facing experience OR at least 7 years of consulting experience OR a combination
• At least 7 years of experience in Human Resources

Nice to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
• MBA or Master’s degree
• Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification or coaching certification
• 9+ years of client-facing experience or 9+ years of consulting experience or a combination
• 9+ years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting
