Director, Enterprise Service Management & Portfolio Operations

About This Role

The Director, Enterprise Service Management & Portfolio Operations is responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and operational effectiveness of enterprise capabilities that manage technology demand across the health system. This role provides leadership for ITSM Process Operations, ServiceNow, and enterprise service management platforms, ensuring alignment of resources and investment decisions with operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolios, leaders, and outcomes in support of the organization’s mission to provide safe, high-quality patient care.
• Accountable for the overall health, value, alignment, and maturity of multiple services, products, platforms, or functional domains.
• Translate enterprise and clinical strategy into actionable priorities and investment decisions.
• Establish and sustain a clear strategic direction for the portfolio that aligns technology investments with organizational priorities.
• Provide strategic leadership for enterprise service management and portfolio operations.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks for demand management, portfolio management, and operational performance.
• Reflect and reinforce the organization’s mission, vision, and core values across teams.
• Promote psychological safety, inclusion, trust, and respect within leadership teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop managers and senior staff to ensure leadership capability and succession readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least one certification relevant to portfolio responsibilities (ServiceNow, PMP, ITSM/ITIL, Six Sigma).
• ITIL Foundation Certification (within 60 days of hire).
• Advanced ITIL certification (within 6 months of hire).
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology or related disciplines.
• Minimum of three years of leadership responsibility with direct oversight of leaders or teams.

• Work Shift: M-F 8-5 ET.
